Using cattle behaviour to your advantage – Benalto Ag Society

GWFA is proud to support Red Deer County Ag Services and special guest speakers on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

Come and learn how we can use our cattle’s behaviour to our advantage. Topics include low-stress handling, wetland stocking and wildlife predation.

Speakers:

Dylan Biggs – A Hanna, Alta., rancher who spent many years in Alberta practicing and teaching low-stress methods for moving and sorting cattle.

Joe Engelhart – A stockman and range rider in the foothills of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains, just north of the U.S. border, who works on extensive public land grazing leases.

Dave Voth – Experience as a Rangeland Health Coordinator with the Nevada Department of Agriculture, and a Ranch Manager with the Nevada Gold Mines.

Lunch will be provided.

A portion of this workshop will be held outdoors so please dress accordingly and wear sturdy footwear.
