City asks Red Deerians to “help shape the future of River Bend”

Oct 3, 2022 | 12:35 PM

Officials with the City of Red Deer say the River Bend Golf and Recreation Area (RBGRA) Draft Master Plan is now online and ready for public feedback.

As part of the RBGRA Master Plan project, the City says they had committed to bringing a draft plan back to the public before it is finalized.

Over the last number of months, with the help of a consultant, officials say the City has involved the community through a variety of public engagement methods. During the course of the process, they confirm hundreds of Red Deerians voiced their opinions about the future of the River Bend area.

Administration says the City continues to review the draft plan with the consultant who will provide expertise as the process continues.

At this time, they are asking for those who have already contributed to the public engagement process, and to new voices as well, to review the draft plan and share their thoughts.

Red Deerians are asked to visit www.reddeer.ca/RiverBend to review the draft plan and are invited to provide feedback via online survey or through one of two public feedback sessions:

  • October 5 from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m.
  • October 6 from 6:00 – 7:15 p.m.

The community is encouraged to pre-register for the sessions and complete the survey prior to Tuesday, October 11.
