Rebels trade blueliner Gustafson to Saskatoon

The Red Deer Rebels completed a trade on Wednesday, sending 20-year-old d-man Blake Gustafson to the Saskatoon Blades.

In exchange, the Rebels receive a fourth-round selection in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft, and a fifth-round pick in the 2025 draft.

Gustafson, a native of Ardrossan, AB, was selected in the 10^th round, 207^th overall by the Rebels at the 2017 draft.

He played in 123 regular season games over four seasons with Red Deer, putting up 22 points.

Gustafson played in all 10 Rebels playoff games this past spring, contributing two goals, including one shorthanded, plus one assist.
