Nominations open for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee for Sports

The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for Sports.

The medal recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to their province, region, or sporting community. The recipient will have helped build the Alberta of today.

Eligible individuals are those who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents with a tangible link to Alberta. The recipient must have been alive on February 6, 2022, the 70^th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the throne. They must have also made a significant contribution to sports in Canada, Alberta, or a particular Albertan region or community.
