Voting results in Red Deer area ridings show Poilievre top choice for Conservative Party leader
The Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) has released its official voting results from the recent Leadership Election, and both federal ridings in the Red Deer area seem to reflect those seen across the country.
According to the CPC, results announced on Sept. 10, 2022, reveal Pierre Poilievre receiving 2,845 votes in the Red Deer-Mountain View riding, with Leslyn Lewis receiving 463 votes, Roman Baber 118, Jean Charest 99, and Scott Aitchison 21 for a total of 3,546 votes cast.
In Red Deer-Lacombe, Pierre Poilievre received 2,633 votes for party leader, with Leslyn Lewis receiving 456 votes, Roman Baber 136, Jean Charest 69, and Scott Aitchison 14 for a total of 3,308 votes cast in the riding.
There were 417,635 votes cast for Conservative Party leader right across Canada, with those results revealed on Saturday.
