21-year-old charged in Maskwacis homicide investigation
Police say a 21-year-old has been charged after a man died in Maskwacis this week.
It was about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 when Maskwacis RCMP received a report of a shooting that had allegedly occurred at a local convenience store.
The victim, a 27-year-old male who’d been living in Maskwacis, was taken to hospital but later died.
Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, which is now investigating, has charged Shayden Trey Rain, also a resident of Maskwacis, with second degree murder.
