Capstone Night Market set to run second market Friday, August 19

Capstone Night Market is gearing up to run its second night market this Friday at Canada 150 Square.

The market is set to run from 5-10 p.m. on the evening of Friday, August 19, 2022, overlooking the Red Deer River.

Officials say the event will come to life in the form of a pop-up urban night market in the Capstone area (formerly known as Cronquist Business Park) in Red Deer. The market is free to attend.

There will be food trucks on site, live entertainment with the musical talents of artists Jaydin Vonkman, Hailey Rae, Jeremy Doody, Kelly Tibbets and Winter’s Majesty. Rounding out the market is over 45 unique, one-of-a kind artisan vendors.

“Our fi­rst market had such an incredible turnout and vibe, we knew we had to do it again. This market has already grown and expanded. We’ve updated the layout and have doubled the number of vendors,” says Heidi Hastings, co-creator of Capstone Night Market.

At this market, there is said to be something for everyone. Clothing + Accessories, Jewellery + Art, Home + Decor, Beauty + Wellness, Fresh Food, Produce & Consumable Products as well as products for our beloved four legged family members.

“We‘ve added more food trucks to accommodate the crowds as well as more live music on site. This event came to be when we saw the need for a free, fun outdoor event that showcases the beauty of Capstone and the talents of our local small business owners,” adds Hastings. “We are so blessed to have such a great space to hold events in Red Deer.’

There are two more markets slotted for this summer. They take place Friday August 19 and September 23, 2022.
