188 Units Sold In July

2022 home sales in Red Deer still outpacing last year

Red Deer home sales were slightly lower in July when compared to the month before, but still higher than the same month last year.

According to the latest stats from Central Alberta Realtors Association (CARA), there were 188 units sold in Red Deer in July, down slightly from 197 units sold in June, but still higher than the 163 units sold in July 2021.

Year to date, 1,372 units have been sold in Red Deer so far this year, which compares to 1,210 units sold during the first seven months of 2021.

The average sale price for a home in Red Deer in July was $343,105, down from $348,002 in June and $359,600 in July 2021.

Meanwhile, the average number of days to sell a home in Red Deer in July was 45, up from 42 days in June, but down from 46 days during the same month last year.

Elsewhere, throughout the entire central Alberta market, 505 units were sold in July, down from 587 units sold in June, and 570 units sold in July 2021.

Year to date, 3,914 units have been sold to the end of July, which compares to 4,263 units sold to the end of July in 2021.

The average sale price for a home throughout central Alberta in July was $346,482, down from $349,053 in June and $437,317 in July of last year.

The average number of days to sell a home throughout central Alberta last month was 51, up from 48 days in June, but still down from 58 days in July 2021.
