Two people needed to fill Downtown Business Association board vacancies

The Downtown Business Association is seeking to fill two vacant spots on its board of directors.

Interested candidates should be passionate about downtown Red Deer and be interested in contributing to its future, the DBA says.

They should also be willing to make a commitment to serve a three-year term.

The DBA’s board of directors sets policy, reviews progress, and provides direction for the association.

There are monthly board meetings, annual meeting and organization events one must be able to attend. The work amounts to around two hours per month, usually on the third Thursday.

Candidates must also own, operate or be employees of a business located within the Business Improvement Area, and pay the associated levy.

Nominations can be submitted until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022.
