84 per cent of Albertans experienced “long” waits for emergency healthcare: Survey
A growing percentage of Albertans are unhappy with emergency healthcare in the province.
That is according to a new survey from the Alberta Medical Association, which polled 4,398 Albertans between June 14-24, 2022.
84 oer cent of respondents said wait times in Alberta’s EDs are long with the tipping point being approximately three hours. That number has increased by 16 per cent since the same survey was completed in 2016.
The perception among Albertans is that emergency care is heading in the wrong direction.
