Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in crash with pick-up truck

One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash between a pick-up and motorcycle in Red Deer Wednesday morning.

On July 20, 2022 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Red Deer RCMP along with Red Deer Emergency Services responded to a collision between a motorcycle and pick-up truck with an attached trailer unit on 55 Ave in West Park.

Mounties say the 38-year-old male driver of the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Red Deer hospital, and later air lifted to a Calgary hospital in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

Police say the name of the individuals involved will not be released.
