"Who Rescued Who?"

Pet photo contest for Central Alberta Humane Society 2023 calendar

Jul 13, 2022 | 10:43 AM

The Central Alberta (CA) Humane Society is preparing for its 2023 “Who Rescued Who?” calendar with a photo contest and other special additions.

New this year, the Photo Contest will feature CA Humane animals and their rescue stories of “Who Rescued Who?”, with one pet for each of the 12 months.

Photo submissions are a $10 donation and viewers can vote for their favorite photo for a $2 donation.

The top eight voted photos will win a spot in the calendar and the other four will be selected by the CA Humane team, with all 12 winners receiving a free professional photo shoot with Red Deer’s Chic & Grace Studios on August 17, 2022. However, all entries will be on the collage page in the back of the calendar.

Other prizes include CA Humane Society gift cards.

As well, the shelter is offering pet owners a chance to reserve a day in the calendar to honor their pets for a $10 donation.

Pets for this entry do not have to be CA Humane rescues and dates are first come first served with one pet chosen per day.

All proceeds from the contest and reserving of a calendar day go towards the animals in care at the shelter.

“Celebrate your rescued furry family members while supporting all our animals who are waiting for a home of their own,” said the centre in a release.

The deadline for both submissions is July 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
