Sundre man charged with first-degree murder

A 27-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after a man was found dead at a McDonald’s in central Alberta early on July 4.
RCMP say 19-year-old Josh Burns was found shortly after midnight when officers responded to reports of a homicide at the McDonald’s restaurant in Sundre.
Solaimane Elbettah has been charged with first-degree murder.
At this time, RCMP say it was an isolated incident, and that there is no threat to the public. Any weapons used cannot yet be disclosed, and RCMP can’t say at the moment if the man is known to police.
