Downtown Red Deer tree pruning set to begin in July

Jul 3, 2022 | 1:00 AM

It’s pruning time again in Red Deer.

Starting on July 4, city officials says Parks and Public Works aerial lift trucks will be pruning city owned trees in the downtown area between 48 Street and 52 Street, as well as 47 Avenue and 51 Avenue.

They expect work to be complete by August 5, 2022.

The City says work will take place on weekdays and there will be intermittent lane and parking closures between 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Signs will be placed to advise drivers of closures.
