Rebels select d-man from Czechia at Import Draft

The Red Deer Rebels added a new prospect to the cupboard on Friday.

At the 2022 CHL Import Draft, Red Deer selected 2005-born blue liner Vojtech Port, a narive of Jihlava, Czechia.

Port, who is 6’2″ and 175 pounds, recorded 22 points, including 19 assists, in 19 games with HC Sparta Praha U17 this past season.

He also suited up three times with the U20 team, and for nine games with the Czechia U17 national team.
