Lacombe golfer leading the pack heading into final round of Alberta Men’s Amateur Championship

A Lacombe golfer has increased his lead after two rounds of the Alberta Men’s Amateur Championship at The Ranch Golf and Country Club in Acheson, AB this week.

For the second day-in-a-row, Brady Mckinlay of the Lacombe Golf & Country Club tore up the course with a 5-under 66. The 21-year-old lefty increased his lead to 6 strokes going into the final round.

Logan Graf of the Red Deer Golf and Country Club moved up into a tie for 4th, 8 shots back, after a 3-under 68.

Tom Mckinlay Jr. of the Lacombe Golf & Country Club shot 69 and moved up into 12th.

Wolf Creek’s Chase Broderson shot 74 and is tied in 33rd.

Tim Hollman of the Olds Golf Club carded a 75 and is tied in 41st.

Alex Gerrard of the RDGCC shot 81 and is tied for 48th. Another RDGCC member, Cole Bergheim, is also tied in 48th after shooting a 75.

The following central Albertans missed the cut:

Tanner Smith—Innisfail Golf Club—82

Jordan Washburn—Ponoka Golf Club—86

The final round goes June 30 at The Ranch Golf and Country Club.
