Lacombe golfer leads Alberta Mens Amateur Championship after first round

A Lacombe golfer is on fire in the first round of the Alberta Men’s Amateur at The Ranch Golf and Country Club in Acheson, AB this week.

Brady Mckinlay tore up the course on day 1 of the Alberta Men’s Amateur championship with a 5-under 66.

The Lacombe Golf and Country Club player has a 3-stroke lead going into round 2 on Wednesday.

A pair of Red Deer Golf and Country Club players are also close, as Logan Graf is tied for sixth, 6 off the pace after a 72. Alex Gerrard, meanwhile, is tied for 10^th, 7 back after shooting a 73.
