Roadway sealing to begin in Burnt Lake Industrial Subdivision
The City of Red Deer has announced that roadway sealing work will begin on Friday in the Burnt Lake Industrial Subdivision as crews complete the treatment on all paved roadways within City limits.
The City expects the project to last approximately three days starting on June 24 with most of the work occurring on June 25 and 26.
City officials say traffic will be reduced to one lane while crews complete their work. They say access to businesses will be maintained but drivers should anticipate some traffic delays.
The City states that sealing is a cost-effective road preservation treatment that seals the surface of the roadway and helps to prevent and delay the occurrence of cracking, ravelling, and the formation of potholes.
