Troubled Monk to mark seven years with annual charity run

Troubled Monk, one of Red Deer’s foremost breweries, is celebrating seven years this weekend with its annual charity run.

The event goes June 11, with 5 km and 10 km options starting at 10 a.m.

All proceeds from the run will be donated to local charities through the Troubled Monk Community Giving program whereby every month a Monk employee is tasked to donate to their favorite charity.

“Community is one of our seven core values. We strive to elevate those around us, bringing everyone up together and motivating everyone around us to be better,” says Lisa Mackey, marketing manager. “Our community is what has built Troubled Monk to be what it is today. We have huge support though our community who continue to support local, and in turn, we want to help out the community that supports us.”
