Alberta Major Crimes Unit investigates homicide on Sunchild First Nation

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been called in to investigate, following a fatal shooting on the Sunchild First Nation northwest of Rocky Mountain House last week.

On June 2, 2022 at 9:53 p.m. Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a report of a man that was shot outside a residence on Sunchild First Nation. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased 25-year-old male.

RCMP believe this was a targeted attack and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Further information, however, is not available at this time.
