Grace Period Over

Pass enforcement begins in K-Country, NDP says they’ll scrap it

Jun 3, 2022 | 5:09 PM

EDMONTON – The grace period is over and inspectors are now enforcing the rules on the Kananaskis Country park pass in Alberta’s Rocky Mountains.

The pass was introduced a year ago to help pay for improvements to the sprawling mixed-use park area west of Calgary.

The fee is $15 a day per vehicle or $90 for an annual pass.

The government says it has collected more than $13 million so far but has not been enforcing the pass to give people time to get used to it.
