Recreation Centre Outdoor Pool and Spray Park to open June 1

Red Deerians can get ready to make a splash as the Blue Grass Sod Farms Central Spray & Play and the Recreation Centre Outdoor Pool open for the season on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, weather permitting.

Blue Grass Sod Farms Central Spray & Play features a 7,500 square foot spray pad with 35 spray toys and two dump buckets. It operates daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the northwest corner of Rotary Recreation Park (47A Avenue and 48 Street).

The recreation Centre Outdoor Pool is located at the Recreation Centre (4501 47A Avenue) and features a 50 metre pool for public and lane swimming, one and three metre diving boards and a children’s shallow area with spray features. There are deck chairs for lounging located around the pool.

Both the Spray Park and Outdoor Pool are weather dependant.
