Centrium to host Flames vs Oilers playoff ‘Watch Parties’

For the first time since 1991, the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers are meeting in a playoff edition of the “Battle of Alberta” and the Peavey Mart Centrium will host fan ‘Watch Parties.’

“This is a case of the community reaching out to us,” said Mike Olesen, CEO of Westerner Park. “Westerner Park is happy to partner with the Red Deer Rebels to see central Albertans come together and celebrate this iconic hockey series.”

Friday, May 20 – doors open 8:00 p.m., game time 8:30 p.m. On Sunday, May 22 – doors open 5:30 pm, game time 6:00 p.m.

Entry is free, though Westerner Park officials say donations are welcome in support of the Red Deer Rebels Foundation and Westerner Park Foundation.

Hockey fans of all ages are welcome to watch the games while enjoying snacks, treats, and cold beverages.
