Red Deer RCMP announce new Officer in Charge
Acting City Manager Sarah Tittemore has announced that Superintendent Holly Glassford has been selected as the new Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Red Deer RCMP detachment.
Glassford, who has been the acting OIC since December 2021, assumes the rank of Superintendent with the permanent appointment to OIC.
“Over the past four months, Superintendent Glassford has been providing excellent leadership in the interim role, and I look forward to continuing to work together on our policing and crime prevention initiatives,” said Acting City Manager Sarah Tittemore.
City officials say Supt. Glassford has 23 years of service with the RCMP and has served throughout Canada, including numerous postings in the Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia and Alberta. Supt. Glassford joined the Red Deer RCMP in 2019 where she was appointed as the Operations Officer.
