Red Deer would regain their previous lead, however, when Ben King scored his third of the game, earning the hat-trick at 10:07, with Jhett Larson and Arshdeep Bains assisting on King’s fourth goal of the playoffs.

The Wheat Kings would tie it back up though when Ridly Greig scored his second of the game and second of the playoffs at 15:11, following a high sticking penalty to Red Deer’s Liam Keeler. Nolan Ritchie and Nate Danielson assisted on the power play goal to make it 3-3.
