Lacombe Police briefs: April 26, 2022

Lacombe Police Service is seeking information about a break and enter which allegedly took place in the early morning hours of April 25.

It was just after 4:30 a.m. when members responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a business in the 4700 block of Highway 2A, on the city’s south end.

“Police attended the location and observed that an unknown suspect had made entry to the business by smashing a window on the side of the building,” LPS says. “Once inside, the suspect took several items before fleeing the scene.”

Police in Lacombe say they responded on April 22 to a complaint about a situation supposedly involving a firearm in the Blackstone Avenue area.

Police attended the Hearhtstone area and a male was arrested for breaching several conditions of his release.

However, investigation revealed there were no firearms involved.
