ATB Financial has renewed its agreement to be the title sponsor for Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR).

Its deal with the event is for three years, through 2024.

“We are proud to play an integral role in continuing to build upon the storied history of the CFR in Red Deer,” says ATB President and CEO Curtis Stange. “This event brings Albertans together to celebrate our unique rodeo culture while driving economic activity to the region.”

Headed towards its fourth edition with Red Deer as host, CFR has attracted more than 110,000 attendees and $30 million in economic spinoff, with several more years to come since moving from its longtime home in Edmonton.

“Not only does this provide the CFR with long-term stability, but it also allows us to work together with an incredible partner to build and grow on the successes we’ve already had in Red Deer,” says Jeff Robson, CPRA General Manager. “The future is certainly very bright.”

This November will mark the 48th annual CFR, with work well underway to make it the best it can possibly be.

Westerner Park says it is efforting to enhance every element of the experience, from the rodeo itself, to the CFR Tradeshow, and from nightly buckle presentations to live music.

“We are thrilled to bring on ATB Financial as a long-term title sponsor,” says Mike Olesen, Westerner CEO. “Their commitment to rodeo here in Red Deer and to Westerner Park will help us greatly in achieving our goal of hosting this world-class event in our facilities for many years to come.”
