Fourteen Red Deer Polytechnic student-athletes and one coach are recipients of year-end awards from the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC).

The winners are as follows:

Basketball: Tyronn King, Eduardo Crespo and Amy Szymanek

Volleyball: Anna Carlson, Tess Pearman, McKenna Olson, Emma Letkeman, Kaylee Domoney, Brett Lower, Maddux Greves and Cody Boulding

Curling: Hollie Vincent, Kaylee Raniseth, Nicole Homan and coach Brad Hamilton

“This is a very special year for Red Deer Polytechnic and our Athletics program. As we wrap up the season, 14 of our student-athletes and one coach have been recognized with honours from the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference,” says Randy Stewart, Manager of Athletics and Student Life at Red Deer Polytechnic.

“We have never had so many student-athletes receive honours in one season, and it speaks so highly about their dedication and work ethic – especially coming off of the last couple of seasons. Our student-athletes, coaches and staff have never lost sight of their goals and about what they can do to excel in their sport and in their lives.”

Stewart says all at RDP are proud of these and all student-athletes’ accomplishments this season.

“[We are] so thankful that they’ve had the opportunity to compete in the sports they love this season.”
