Three Hills resident wins $250,000 on EXTRA

While one Three Hills women brings home a large lottery prize this week, others are about to miss out on a wealthy opportunity with unclaimed winning tickets.

Florence Antoine took home a little more than just groceries as she checked her ticket for the Feb. 23 LOTTO 6/49 draw at a local store.

Antoine walked out $250,000 richer after matching all seven winning numbers, 2309969, on the EXTRA she added to her ticket.

“I was so excited,” she said. “I couldn’t believe it was happening.”

Antoine plans on putting her windfall into savings.

The happy winner purchased her ticket at the Circle K located at 702 2 Street North in Three Hills on Feb. 22.

Meanwhile, for one or more Albertans, time is running out to claim two LOTTO 6/49 prizes, totaling $125,941.50.

Both tickets were purchased in Alberta outside of Calgary and Edmonton.

One ticket from the March 17 draw of last year has won $38,941 and will expire next week. That ticket won by matching five of six winning numbers plus the bonus number. The winning numbers are: 4, 9, 13, 25, 44, 49, Bonus 3.

The second ticket purchased for the April 3 draw of last year is worth $87,000.50. The ticket won by matching five of six winning numbers plus the bonus. The winning numbers for that draw are 12, 13, 19, 35, 42, 47, Bonus 28.

Winners are reminded they have one year from the draw date to claim the prize.

They are urged to contact Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) Customer Care at 1-800-665-3313, Monday through Saturday, to make arrangements to claim their prize.
