There are no longer any public health restrictions in effect for Rebels games at the Peavey Mart Centrium. Proof of COVID vaccination is not required to attend and fans are no longer required to wear face coverings.

LAST WEEK

The Rebels went 3-1 on a four-game road trip. It started Tuesday (March 1) with a big 11-1 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers. One night later, the Rebels defeated the Swift Current Broncos 5-1. Friday night at Regina, the Rebels downed Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats 3-2 to sweep the four-game season series between the two teams. The Rebels then saw their seven-game win streak end Saturday in Saskatoon with a 5-2 loss to the Blades.

RECORD

The Rebels are 36-16-2-1 this season. They are in second place in the WHL Central Division and third overall in the Eastern Conference.

NOTABLES

The Rebels won seven games in a row between February 18 – March 4. It was the team’s longest winning streak since they piled up nine-straight victories in November 2012.

Arshdeep Bains leads the entire Western Hockey League with 81 points this season. The last Rebels player to win the WHL scoring title was Justin Mapletoft in 2000-01.

Ben King leads the league with 43 goals this season and is on pace to become the first Rebels player since Kyle Wanvig in 2000-21 to score 50 goals in a season. King also leads the league with 20 power play goals and 12 game winning tallies this season.

The Rebels recently announced “Alumni Night, presented by ATB” for their home game Friday, April 8 vs. Lethbridge. All former Rebels players, coaches and staff are invited to attend. The Rebels will be wearing special jerseys to be auctioned off in support of the Rebels Foundation for Education and Wellness. More details regarding “Alumni Night, presented by ATB” will be announced in the coming weeks.
