Calgary man carrying 440 plants charged under Cannabis Act
Following a recent arrest, RCMP are reminding Albertans about the laws around buying, transporting and consuming marijuana.
It was Feb. 3, 2022 when members of the Innisfail Integrated Traffic Unit performed a traffic stop on a male driver for allegedly speeding.
The officer then entered into a drug trafficking investigation and the driver was arrested.
During a vehicle search, police found 440 marijuana plants worth an approximate value of $440,000, along with other drugs and paraphernalia.
