Ponoka RCMP investigating serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 2
RCMP say road conditions are believed to have been a factor in a crash between a semi-trailer and a car on Wednesday afternoon.
On Jan. 26, at 12:52 p.m., Ponoka RCMP were dispatched to a serious two vehicle collision on Highway 2, just south of Highway 611 in the southbound lanes.
Mounties say one occupant of the car was transported to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance, while the other occupant of the car was transported to an area hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
Officials with STARS say they were called to care for and carry a 32-year-old male patient who sustained traumatic injuries in the MVC near Ponoka. He was taken by crews to University of Alberta Hospital and arrived in stable condition.
