“My colleagues and I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family who lost a child to COVID-19, as reported by the Chief Medical Officer of Health this afternoon, and to all families grieving the loss of a loved one.

“Today’s reported active cases are the highest we have ever seen, and we know the true number is several times larger, but the UCP failed to offer Albertans any kind of plan.

“Earlier today, Alberta’s NDP presented a detailed plan to help schools reopen and stay open safely. Yesterday we called on the UCP to tell the truth and release the AHS forecast of the impact of Omicron on hospitals. Jason Kenney and the UCP failed to deliver either of these critical measures for Albertans today.”
