Innisfail Integrated Traffic Unit offers traffic safety tips for 2022
With 2021 in the rear view mirror, and 2022 now underway, the Innisfail Integrated Traffic Unit (ITU), would like to remind motorists that with freezing temperatures, it’s important to adjust your driving and speed.
Mounties say the extreme cold weather negatively affects the air pressure in your tires, which means your tires may be underinflated and could affect your vehicle responsiveness. It also raises the chances of getting a flat tire.
Drivers are encouraged to take the time to ensure your vehicle is road worthy, and slow down whenever you’re out and about, especially at intersections where pedestrians and other vehicles are crossing.
Ensure you come to a full and complete stop before proceeding, and that it’s safe to enter the intersection.
