December rent report shows dip for Red Deer
The latest National Rent Report is out, courtesy Rentals.ca, and Red Deer’s average rent has gone down.
From November to December, the average cost of a one-bedroom place went from $953 to $912. That’s down 4.30 per cent both month over month and year over year.
A two-bedroom unit, however, went from $1,082 monthly up to $1,115. That is a jump of 3.05 per cent month over month, and 9.53 per cent year over year, among the highest of all ranked cities.
Red Deer is 33rd out of 35 communities evaluated by Rentals.ca and Bullpen Research & Consulting — down one spot from last month.
