Blackfalds RCMP recover $60,000 worth of allegedly stolen property

Dec 9, 2021 | 2:20 PM

A Red Deer man has been charged following a property crime investigation that began in October.

That month, Blackfalds RCMP, with assistance from Red Deer, RCMP Air Services, and the Auto Theft Unit, began collaborating on the case.

Nov. 12, Blackfalds members arrested a man in possession of allegedly stolen property at a home in that town.

The next day, members executed two search warrants at homes in Blackfalds and Red Deer County, plus a third at a business in the county.

As a result of those search warrants, police recovered a variety of allegedly stolen property, including a dump trailer, travel trailer, four snowmobiles and a gooseneck flat deck trailer and a pickup truck that both had the VINs tampered with.
