BGC Red Deer receives generous donation from NOVA Chemicals

YouthHQ and BGC Red Deer have announced a generous gift from NOVA Chemicals in support of BGC (formerly Boys and Girls Club of Red Deer).
After the cancellation of a major fundraiser for the organization this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NOVA Chemicals recognized the significant impact to BGC as a result.
Officials note that NOVA Chemicals employees, however, still wanted to provide much needed support to help in the recovery of those funds that are critical to the ability of BGC to continue to serve children and families in Red Deer and surrounding area.
“These have been challenging times for everyone including families, businesses and charities,” said Rob Lewis, Executive Director, YouthHQ. “It amazes me how incredible Central Alberta is when it comes to lending a hand of support or contributing needed dollars in support of the community. On behalf of the Board of Directors and most importantly the children and families we serve, I extend a heartfelt thank you to NOVA Chemicals for the generous support.”
