Suspects sought after home invasion in Sundre

RCMP are seeking three suspects in connection a home invasion in Sundre this week.

It was just before noon on Dec. 1 when RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion near Sundre Mobile Estates.

Investigation revealed that three suspects, allegedly armed, forcibly entered a residence. The two occupants, a male and female, were robbed of their possessions including a pellet pistol and pellet rifle. They were not physically harmed.

The suspects are said to have then fled in a black 2016 Hyundai Elantra which they also stole from the victims.

At 12:10, Olds RCMP located the stolen vehicle abandoned near a restaurant near 50 Avenue and 46 Street (Highway 27) in Olds.

Containment was established, however RCMP members, nor Police Dog Services, could locate the suspects. A shotgun, knife, and stolen pellet rifle were recovered from the stolen vehicle.

Further investigation, police say, revealed surveillance video in the area of the home invasion in Sundre that showed a silver F150 arrive just prior to the incident and then depart with the stolen Hyundai Elantra.

Sundre RCMP are asking the public to check their surveillance cameras in the area of the Sundre Mobile Estates from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and in Olds in the area of 50 Avenue and 46 Street (Highway 27) from 12:10 p.m. until 1 p.m. to determine if a black 2016 Hyundai Elantra or silver F150 were captured.

Sundre RCMP are also asking if anyone is able to identify the silver F150 that is described as having black wheels, a black tonneau cover and decals on each side of the back window.

Suspect #1 is described as:

· Male

· Approximately 5’5”

· Light complexion

Suspects #2 and #3 are both described being very tall and skinny, both with dark complexions.
