Central Alberta Humane Society’s end of year fundraisers underway

Dec 2, 2021 | 10:49 AM

The Central Alberta Humane Society’s (CA Humane) end of the year fundraisers have now been launched.

Officials with the organization say all donations provide vital funds for the shelter to treat, care for and re-home unwanted, abandoned, and stray companion animals in the Central Alberta region.

This year, CA Humane’s ‘Giving Tree’ fundraiser features a wish list of necessary items needed for the overall enrichment of the shelter.

Some of the items include Gumbo’s Fund: a strategic fund to assist the adoption of animals that are often overlooked due to having costly medical needs.

An Original Suro-kitty Nurser: this life-saving surrogate nursing apparatus provides nourishment and comfort to orphaned kittens.

The Serenity Meow Catio project: this patio for cats (catio) will provide a safe, outdoor space to further enrich the organization’s shelter cats.

To learn more about CA Humane’s ‘Giving Tree’ fundraiser, and more of the items they’re looking to fund, visit them online at cahumane.com, or in-person at the shelter.

CA Humane’s ‘Fall in Love wish Animals’ 50/50 raffle also has two more weeks to go until one lucky winner will receive half of all proceeds raised. The jackpot is growing daily, so be sure to get your tickets before Dec. 14.

The electronic draw will be made at CA Humane’s shelter on Dec. 15 at 2:00 p.m. You can get your electronic tickets today by visiting www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/cahs.
