Cowboy Kicks fundraiser rescheduled for next March

A new annual fundraiser put on by Westerner Park and its foundation has a new date.

Cowboy Kicks — to benefit the foundation and the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team — was supposed to launch on Sept. 18, but was delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The event will now take place March 18, 2022 at the Peavey Mart Centrium, featuring Canadian country music star Brett Kissel as originally planned.

“Uniquely Western, Cowboy Kicks is a fundraising experience where arts meets west. Through an exciting live auction, packages featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and four-feet high fibreglass cowboy boots, hand-painted by Albertan artists, will be auctioned off,” a release states.

“There will also be two-feet high, hand-painted fibreglass boots featured in the charity auction and a raffle. Guests will be treated to a hearty, western meal and beverage while enjoying an intimate performance from special guest Brett Kissel.”
