PROVINCIAL NUMBERS
New COVID-19 case numbers are a tick up over the weekend.
Over the past three days, Alberta Health confirmed a combined 1,125 new cases, with 470 on Friday, 386 on Saturday, and 269 on Sunday.
There are now 5,311 active cases, up 18 from Friday.

An average of 7,296 tests were conducted each day over the past three days. The seven-day positivity rate is currently 4.95 per cent.
Provincially, 463 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID, down 33 over the weekend. Today’s new total includes 98 patients in ICU, up five.
Of the 365 people hospitalized but not in ICU, 233 are completely unvaccinated, 22 have received one dose, and 100 have two doses. Another 10 have had three doses.
Of the 98 in ICU, 77 are completely unvaccinated, six have one dose, and 11 have two doses. Another four have had three doses.
Since Friday’s update, there has sadly been six new deaths added to the provincial COVID-19 death toll, which stands at 3,217.

CENTRAL ZONE
Over the weekend, Red Deer added 43 cases, 42 recoveries and zero fatalities.
That leaves Red Deer with 150 active cases, up (net) one from Friday.
Red Deer has now recorded 9,349 total cases, 9,118 recoveries and 81 deaths, with the last one reported Nov. 16.
Red Deer’s active case rate is currently 141 per 100,000 people, compared to 90.9 for City of Calgary and 65.9 for City of Edmonton.
The entire Central Zone has 818 active cases as of Monday, down 22 from Friday. There are 104 hospitalizations, down two, and 10 people are receiving intensive care at Red Deer Regional Hospital, up one from Friday.
The zone has had 392 deaths linked to the virus, with five reported over the weekend.
Central Zone’s one-day high for positivity rate over the weekend was 10.37 per cent with 540 tests conducted on Nov. 21.

VACCINATIONS
In Alberta, 6,796,955 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have now been administered as of the end of Nov. 21. That’s up 24,070 over the weekend.
Of the 12+ population, 88.4 per cent has received at least one dose (75.2% total population), while 83.2 per cent of the 12+ population is now fully vaccinated (70.7% total population).
347,725 Albertans have received a third dose, up 7,618 from Friday.
In Red Deer, 73,845 (80.6% eligible/69.4% total) people have received at least one dose, up 153 over the last three days.
Meanwhile, 69,985 residents (76.3%/65.8%) are fully vaccinated, up 306. (*Government of Alberta uses a population of 106,395 for Red Deer; of those 91,672 are eligible)
INFLUENZA
Alberta Health is reporting four total lab-confirmed cases of influenza — one in Calgary Zone and three in Edmonton Zone. They are all Influenza A. There are zero ICU admissions, and there have been zero deaths.
A total of 850,283 doses of influenza vaccine have been administered this season.
