Blackfalds to hold by-election in January

The Town of Blackfalds will be holding a by-election to fill one councillor vacancy on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022.

The nomination period began on Nov. 10, with any interested parties to submit their nomination forms in person to the Town’s Returning Officer by noon on Nomination Day, Dec. 13, 2021.

Advance polls will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 5, and Saturday, Jan. 8 in Council Chambers on the 2^nd level of the Civic Cultural Centre.

Election Day is Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, in Council Chambers from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.

Town officials note that face masks are mandatory, and will ask that everyone practice social distancing and clean hygiene.
