Ponoka businesses can now renew licenses for 2022

Businesses in the Town of Ponoka can now renew their business licences for 2022.

Businesses have until Dec. 31 to renew their licences as per the New Business Licence Bylaw, which takes effect on Dec. 1.

Town officials say businesses that operate or provide or sell a product or service within or partially within the Town of Ponoka corporate boundaries are required to possess a valid Ponoka business licence. Business licences are required to be renewed annually. Approved business licences for 2021 will expire on Dec. 31.

The Town of Ponoka has started mailing business licence renewal notices. When renewing a business licence, owners are asked to provide any changes in business information, such as a change of business location, contact information, and/or ownership in writing by emailing permits@ponoka.ca. If you have not received a renewal notice, please email permits@ponoka.ca or call 403-783-0119.

If you are a new business in Ponoka and would like to apply for a Business Licence, visit www.ponoka.ca, click on ‘Business’ and ‘Business Licensing.’ There, you will find the application and ‘Letter of Intent’ forms to apply for a business licence.
