New non-profit offering support worker training
A new non-profit agency in central Alberta is hoping to train support workers.
APLETS — Alberta Prairies life Enrichment Training Studio — is offering a 12-week Life Enrichment Support Worker program.
The course is designed specifically for individuals interested in starting a career as a support worker for vulnerable and disadvantaged citizens. That may include people who are elderly or frail, living with special needs, those who are experiencing addiction, mental illness, or chronic mental health concerns.
The course is also in partnership with Central Alberta Brain Injury Society (CABIS) and is made possible by a generous anonymous local donor.
