Westerner Dairy Showcase on through Saturday

The Westerner Dairy Showcase is ongoing through Saturday, Oct. 16.

Started in 1954, the event attracts exhibitors from across the western provinces with more than 150 cattle showing annually.

Highlights include the Central Alberta Holstein Club Sale, the Youth Show, the Jersey Show, and the Holstein Show. There are also industry seminars, a trade show and the Mega-Moola Jackpot.

Itinerary for Friday:

Jersey show – Agricentre-East 3:00 p.m.

Itinerary for Saturday:

Exhibitor Breakfast – Agricentre-North Gallery 7:00 a.m.

Holstein Show – Agricentre-East 9:00 a.m.

Mustard Seed Live Auction – Agricentre-East 12:00 p.m.

Mega Moola Draw Agricentre-East 4:00 p.m.

Dinner and Awards Banquet (Paid ticket required) – Agricentre-East 6:30 p.m.

Restrictions Exemption Program

In response to the Alberta government declaring a state of public health emergency, Westerner Park has implemented the Restrictions Exemption Program for all events, including the Westerner Dairy Showcase. Everyone aged 12 and older will be asked to provide:

Masks will also be required in compliance with Alberta Health Services guidelines. Anyone unable to wear a mask due to an approved medical condition will be asked to provide their medical exception letter (visit Alberta mask requirements for details).
