Sylvan Laker wins quarter-million on WESTERN 649

A Sylvan Lake resident is $250,000 richer after recently winning on the WESTERN 649.

AGLC and the WCLC share that Gregory Underwood won his new fortune on the EXTRA he added to his Sept. 1 ticket.

“I woke up one morning and decided to check a couple lottery tickets,” he said.

“I scanned this one and was shocked!”“I scanned it a couple more times and couldn’t believe it. I took the ticket to the store when it opened and scanned it there – that’s when it started to sink in.”

Underwood doesn’t have solid plans for his winnings, but notes it will help him retire comfortably.

Underwood purchased his winning ticket from Winks Convenience Store, located at 3-1330 15 Avenue SW in Calgary. His EXTRA-winning numbers were 3908546.

Check your tickets: If you’re holding on to a LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket from the December 22, 2020 draw, make sure to check your ticket! A ticket purchased somewhere in Edmonton won $100,000 on the EXTRA draw, and the prize hasn’t yet been claimed. The winning EXTRA number was 6114594, the winning ticket matched the last six digits of this number.
