Missing woman from Onion Lake, SK possibly headed to Maskwacis
An Indigenous woman missing from Onion Lake, Saskatchewan may be headed to central Alberta, according to police.
RCMP say they’re looking for 32-year-old Courtnee Soosay, who was last seen between Oct 1-6 at a home on Onion Lake Cree Nation.
She reportedly left on foot and has not been in contact with her family since.
She may be making her way to Samson Cree Nation in Maskwacis, north of Ponoka, but this hasn’t been confirmed. Onion Lake is located north of Lloydminster, just on the Saskatchewan side of the border, and about a 3.5 hour drive or 65 hour walk from Maskwacis.
