Leduc RCMP investigating fatal pedestrian collision

Traffic flow has resumed on Highway 2 at Highway 2A near Leduc following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian Friday morning.

Leduc RCMP say their preliminary investigation reveals a truck was driving north on Highway 2 when it appears to have collided with a female pedestrian in the driving lane.

Mounties say the 31-year-old female pedestrian from Edmonton was declared deceased on scene. The 50-year-old male driver and 28-year-old male passenger of the truck were not injured.

On Oct. 1, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Leduc RCMP Integrated Traffic Unit responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 2 north bound, south of the Highway 2A exit.
