Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum Induction Ceremony going virtual

Officials with the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in Red Deer have announced they have made the decision to host the 2020 Induction Ceremony virtually, rather than proceed with the planned in person event on Oct. 22.
“Our priority is and always has been the safety of our inductees, partners, volunteers, and our Honoured Members,” reads a statement from the organization. “Please rest assured that our Inductees accomplishments will not be diminished due to this change. We are working through the details of how this event will look as we move to a virtual format and encourage you to consider entrusting your ticket purchase amount as a donation to ensure the continued preservation, enrichment & development of community and sport in Alberta.”
