Final $1 million vaccine lottery draw closes September 23

Residents in Alberta aged 18 and over have just over one day to register online for a chance to win $1 million as part of the province’s COVID-19 vaccine lottery.

Albertans who have received two doses of an approved vaccine are eligible to register. The deadline to get your second shot and register is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, September 23.

Minister of Health Jason Copping said, “we know that vaccines offer our best protection against COVID-19, helping to prevent serious illness and deaths.”

“By rolling up our sleeves and getting vaccinated, Albertans are helping to reduce the spread and protect our health system. Get vaccinated today to help keep each other safe.”

Over 1.9 million Albertans have entered the vaccine lottery to date, which has already seen two draws. Those who have already entered are automatically registered for the third draw.

More than 5.8 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Alberta and the province says 81.4 per cent of eligible Albertans have at least one dose, while 72.8 per cent are fully vaccinated with two doses.
